I have observed this in myself over any number of attempts to maintain streaks. I think it must work for certain public successful people. It is easy to advocate for because it is easy to measure when you succeed at it.
However, you will always fail a streak. You’ve devised a system that you’re guaranteed to fail at. You’ll have a bad day or get the flu or just not feel like it. You should not burn yourself out trying to chase an arbitrary continuation of a streak.
I’ve had this with GitHub commits. 100days of code. Devtober. Inventober. Basically every cool new trend on Twitter. It’s also frequently recommended as a way to bootstrap your business and work on your hobbies. There are may indie sites dedicated to this topic.
